Busy Ms claim right-hander from Marlins

A day without a new player in camp is like a day in the desert without sunshine.

On one day it’s right-handed reliever Chad Cordero and next it will be right-hander Jesus Delgado, clamined on waivers from the Marlins.

“He has a real good arm, real live arm,” general manager Jack Zduriencik said. “He’s a kid we had good reports on last summer when he got a cup of coffee in the big leagues. Again we are trying to accumulate young talent. Here you have a good live arm and we’ll give him a good look here the last couple of weeks and see what we have.”

Delgado could be in camp as soon at Monday.

To make room on the 40-man roster, the Mariners put left-hander Ryan Feierabend on the 60-day disabled list. Feierabend recently had “Tommy John” surgery on his left elbow and will miss the entire 2009 season.

brilliant move. I like how the Mariners are adding depth. Don’t you think Bucky Jacobson would help, too?

I’m all for bringing back Bucky, I think he is working security at the new Snoqualmie Casino
